LoC road briefly blocked after heavy rains triggered landslides near Kaman Post

Baramulla, Feb 28: Road leading to the Line of Control was briefly blocked after heavy rains triggered landslides in Uroosa village near Kaman post in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.

An official told the news agency that a massive landslide occurred during the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday near Aman Setu bridge in Uroosa village, following which a team of 53 RCC of BRO reached the spot.

He said that BRO pressed men and machinery into service to ensure connectivity on the strategically important LOC road.

The official said that there was no loss of life or injury reported in the incident, however, the debris has been cleared and the road has been made through this afternoon.
