‘Little Efforts’ group of 30 doctors treating COVID patients beyond duty hours

Jammu: Amid deadly second wave, the corona warriors playing crucial role in battle against deadly infection.

In the absence of adequate facilities, every effort is being made to save patients by doctors in the hospitals.

But there are also some doctors who are busy in serving the people away from the attraction of media. In the day time, these giving duties in hospitals, and if any patient or any other person needs anything, then they are also providing them.

These doctors are providing pluse oximeters to medicines. These doctors have kept their identities confidential, but have given their mobile numbers in which anyone can contact and seek help.

These doctors have named their group as Little Efforts.

Around 30 doctors appointed in various hospitals of Jammu division have formed a group named ‘Little efforts’.

There are many young doctors in it. Doctors ranging from medicine, gynecology, ENT, ophthalmology to dental are included in this group.

The group is voluntarily serving for Covid-infected patients in addition to government orders. The objective of all is to provide treatment to all patients and in this time of crisis, they can all contribute to the service of the country.

The group members also take full care of the frontline workers fighting the war with COVID. They provide food to frontline workers in duty in many areas including Rihari to Indira Chowk, Dogra Chowk, Jewel Chowk, Bakhshinagar, New Plot, Janipur.

Not only this, the members of the group are also making people aware to follow the SOP. Together they request people that if they need any kind of health advice in the house, they can contact them.

These doctors are providing medicines, oximeters and nebulizers to the patients.

If a patient is not able to get an ambulance, then even provide ambulance service. If there is any issue related to the oxygen cylinder, then we are also resolving it.

A member of this group said that his aim is to help the patient who no one is reaching. Many of the patients undergoing treatment at home have complained that no one is taking care of them, their group is helping all such people.

This group of doctors is also providing food and ration to the patients. They believe that many patients need to take medicines.

Many people have been alone and there is no one to feed them when infected. Such patients should also be assisted. Thinking this, they are providing food.

The good thing is that these doctors are also giving their duties and after that they are also engaged in selfless social service.
