Light to moderate snowfall over higher reaches and some places in plains in J&K: MeT

SRINAGAR: Weather department on Sunday forecasted light to moderate snowfall over higher reaches and some places in plains in Jammu and Kashmir.

“Weather is likely to turn cloudy as the day progresses today. From tonight (November 13) – November 15th, the weather is expected to be generally cloudy,” a meteorological department official said here, adding, “Light to moderate rain/snow is expected over higher reaches at most places. Some places in the plains may receive 1-2 inches of snow on November 14.”

From November 15-18, he said, weather would be cloudy and from November 19-20𝙩𝙝, there is the possibility of widespread light to moderate rain /snow. “The forecast confidence is upto 75%”, he added. “Prior to embarking on a journey, people are advised to check the status of the road from traffic police,” he added.
