Life Story: Sonali Pandita, dancer

She said that representing J&K culture at international level is proud moment.

Jammu: Sonali Pandita is a well known for her dancing as well as acting skills. She belonged to Jammu and Kashmir, and excelled in the field of dance, which she had learned from the television as well as online video.

She born in Jammu and started interest towards acting during School time. “My parents belong to Kashmir. After facing a lot hardship and struggle they settled down in Jammu. They also supported me,”  Pandita told The Dispatch.

“I had passion about dance. I was inspired by my sister. She was very good dancer. My sister motivated me and family. I have performed many times in Abhinav Theatre,” she said.

“My career as dancer started from Parade College under the guidance of well known chirographer Akash Dogra,” she said.

Narrating her dance tour to  Japan, Sonali Pandita said the performed under  Kuldeep Saproo. “We represent out culture there. When people from India and specially from J&K arrives to watch your performance, you feel proud,” she added.
