Jammu: Iftikhar Ahamd is renowned poet from the Union Territory even his poetry is published by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages.

He is also famous for his rhymes Moji sran Karha, which he has written for children. For his work, Iftikhar has received many awards as well as appreciation from Kashmir and Delhi.
“In the age of 10 years, I started shyari. In colleges, my classmate listen me as well as appreciate me, which gives me further motivation,” he added.

“Further one of my teacher (Ustaad) motivated me then, I started writing,” he added. He informed that he has written many rhymes and Gahazals in Kashmiri.
