Jammu: Gauri Thakur is renowned theatre actress of Jammu and Kashmir.
She has performed as lead actress in many plays including English classics like Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Night Dream, Romeo and Juliet and great expectations.

She also made her debut as a director with the play ‘The Oval Portrait’ based on a short story of Edgar Allan Poe.
She said that she is doing theater as her passion. “I have been doing theatre since I was child because my father is renowned theatre personality in J&K. So, maybe I inspired by my father because I saw him doing theatre since childhood,” she said. “ I have worked in many plays as lead actress and now I have been also started directing plays,” she said.

She informed that she has directed three plays till now and will continue to do that.
