Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will inaugurate light-and-sound fountain at Bagh-e-Bahu on Friday.

Sources told The Dispatch, the light-and-sound fountain worth Rs 10.5 crore was established under the Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP) for the tourism promotion in J&K.

The motive of the light-and-sound fountain in Jammu’s famous park was to provide an opportunity for evening leisure for tourists and locals.

During the night, the fountain becomes more attractive which will help in attracting tourists. It is the first fountain of its kind in the Jammu region.

He said that similarly a light-and-sound project was being established at Hari Parbat in Srinagar worth Rs 5.5 crore. This project is also in its final stages and may be ready by December end.
