Let’s Play Football tournament which is aiming at identifying the hidden sports talent of J&K youth has begun today in both the divisions of the state. Hundreds of matches were played today at Zonal Level on the first day of the sports extravaganza.
Director Youth Services and Sports, Shiekh Fayaz Ahmad has appreciated efforts of its subordinate staff for taking the responsibility wholeheartedly and conducting matches of the tournament with utmost dedication despite cold weather conditions in Kashmir division particularly.
“The youth of this beautiful state are energetic, enthusiastic and super talented. Though it’s not a suitable season to play football in a region like Ladakh where temperature these days is dipping to its lowest levels, but young footballers are showing keen interest in taking part in the Football Tourney”, he added.
The mega Football Tournament is being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports with the co-branding of Khelo India under the aegis of Ministry Of Youth Affairs and Sports GOI.
