Pulwama, Jan 30: Joint Forces Saturday claimed that they apprehended a sympathizer of militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba from South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

The associate according to police was involved in providing shelter, logistics and other support to the militants in Pampore and Khrew areas of Pulwama district.

The arrest was made by police along with soldiers from 50 Rashtriya Rifles and CRPF personnel from 110 Battalion in Pampore area.

A police official identified the arrested militant associate as Junaid Altaf, a resident of Konibal Pampore.

He said that investigation reveals that Junaid was in touch with Pakistan militant commanders through various social media platforms.

“Incriminating material of proscribed outfit LeT has been recovered from him. A case had already been lodged against this militant associate at police station Pampore,” the official said.
