Srinagar, March 25: One paramilitary CRPF personnel was killed and three others injured in an attack by militants in Lawaypora in the outskirts of Srinagar on Thursday afternoon, officials said.
“The CRPF personnel from 73 battalions were discharging ROP duties when they were attacked by some militants at Dilshan hotel and Noora hospital area. Four of them were injured and one of them succumbed later,” OPS Tiwari, a spokesman of CRPF, told news agency.
“As of now, I cannot comment about the level of injuries suffered by them as they are being admitted to the 92 base army hospital,” he added.
Inspector-General of Police Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar told that one CRPF man was killed and three others injured in the attack.
Meanwhile entire area was cordoned off immediately to nab the fleeing militants, official said. When this report was filed, no arrests were made, they added. (GNS)
