On New Year’s eve, Prime Minister Narendra Modi remembered doctors, health warriors, sanitation workers, pharmacist and other frontline workers involved in fighting the coronavirus and urged people to exercise caution in the coming year.
“Earlier, I said, ‘Dawai nahi toh dheelai nahi’. Now, I am saying ‘Dawai bhi aur kadaai (caution) bhi’. Our mantra for the year 2021 is ‘Dawai bhi aur kadaai bhi'”, he said.
The PM paid also paid his tribute to lakh of frontline workers who have sacrificed their lives while performing duties.
“The last day of the year is a moment to remember the lakhs of doctors, health warriors, sanitation staff, pharmacist and other frontline workers. I also pay my respect to the people who have sacrificed their lives while performing their duties,” Prime Minister said while speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of AIIMS in Gujarat’s Rajkot.
