Kurag Sehpora road in Ganderbal district is in shambles, while authorities have turned blind eye.
The recent rains have added to the suffering of the people, as they have to walk or drive through the potholed and water-filled roads. People are also forced to use a temporary wooden bridge.
The road appears to not have been macadamized for years, and turned into a kuccha road.
“We have individually as well as in a form of deputation, approached DC, but to no avail. Our children have to go to school, we have to go to shops and offices, but our clothes get dirty midway,” a resident said.
Moreover, the bridge is temporary and not in proper shape, it can fall anytime.
