KPDCL to disconnect power connection of consumers whose outstanding electricity tariff is pending from last 3 months

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has decided to disconnect the power connection of the consumers whose outstanding electricity tariff is pending for more than three months.

Chief Engineer of KPDCL, Aijaz Ahmad Dar, said that a drive on the instructions of Managing Director KPDCL has been launched to act against the consumers whose outstanding is pending for long.

“We have already started a process in this regard and those whose outstanding is pending for more than three months for the past over three months will face the disconnection of power connection,” he said.

All the defaulters will face the action, he said. However, he added that those who have not paid their electricity bills from the last one month or a two will be exempted—(KNO)
