Each homeless family likely to get 5 marla plot
JAMMU: Rescue and search operation for the 19 persons missing in Hunzar village in Dacchan following a devastating cloud burst has been called off with no success while the rehabilitation for the homeless families has been started.
Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Raghav Langer along with senior officials in the administration accompanied by District Development Council (DDC) chairperson Pooja Thakur and former minister Sunil Sharma visited Sonder (Dacchan) and reviewed the rehabilitation work for the homeless families of Hunzar.
“The search operation is over as it was not humanly possible to find out the 19 missing people who might have been washed away in the flash flood triggered by cloud burst or buried under the huge boulders and debris,” Thakur said. She said that the NDRF and SDRF teams had also left the village.
