Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju today flagged off Walkathon on the occasion of International Women’s Day and to celebrate 125 Years of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s legacy. The Walkathon was flagged off from Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi.
Mr Rijiju said, women empowerment is the priority of the government. He said, Indian women are giving exceptional performance in various international sports disciplines and the government is providing an equal platform to all.
