Kathua: Students’ protests, clashes in Ajas Bandipora

Scores of students in Ajas area of Bandipora District in North Kashmir here on Thursday Staged protests Demonstration against the brutal rape and murder of an eight-year old girl in Kathua area of Jammu Division.

Protesting students demanding death to the criminals who raped and brutally killed eight year old girl in Kathua.

Soon after protest demonstration, Protesting Students clashed with Govt forces by pelting Stones on them which trigged clashes.

The forces Tossed up numerious tear gas shells to quell the Protesting students, which created panic, witnesses said. One policeman identified as Constable Danish has received minor injuries in his hand after hit by a stone.

The clashes have triggered shutdown in the Ajas area. Clashes were going on, when this report was filed.
