India defeat Australia by 6 wickets, after being handed a target of 299 in a must-win clash following a century by skipper Virat Kohli, unbeaten 55 by wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
It was a reminder of yesteryears as MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli combined to take India to a thrilling last-over win in Adelaide. While Kohli hammered 39th ODI ton, MS Dhoni fired 54-runs in 55 balls, including a much-needed six in the final over. India beat Australia by 6 wickets to level the series 1-1.
The two teams will meet for the deciding ODI match in MCG on Friday. Earlier, Australia scored 298/9 in 50 overs with Shaun Marsh hammering a ton.
