JRL’s presser foiled, Malik arrested, Mirwaiz house detained

Police foiled the presser of three JRL leaders with the arrest of Yasin Malik the JKLF chairman and house detention of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq the Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman early Saturday morning.

The top three leaders of Joint Resistance Leadership Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik were scheduled to hold a presser at Ahdoos Hotel at 12 noon on Saturday but with the arrest of Yasin Malik and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq police foiled the presser scheduled for today.

The police also arrested Hurriyat Conference (G) Spokesman G A Gulzar early Saturday morning at lodged him at police station Shergari.
