Jointly developed satellite by US, Taiwan set to launch in June from Florida


A group of six satellites jointly developed by the US and Taiwan is scheduled to launch on June 22 from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Formosat-7, a group of six satellites developed by the National Space Organisation (NSPO) of Taiwan and US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.It is designed to gather weather and ionospheric observation data on low and mid-latitude regions. The satellite cluster departed for the US April 14 from NSPO in northern Taiwan’s Hsinchu City and is set to be carried into orbit on a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket.
