Jammu: 31 Oct: Health and Medical safety kits to persons of Hari Budha, Marhot, Mastadhara, Kulali, Dogrian, Surankote and Daraba Panchayats in Poonch District (J&K) were distributed by Indian Army. Hand Sanitizers, surgical masks and N 95 masks were provided to people residing near Line of Control. Since population in close proximity not have easy access to equipment and expertise required to fight COVID-19, Indian Army in a noble gesture stepped in to offer support to local population of this remote region. Use of medical kits and preventive measures to be undertaken to prevent spread of COVID-19, were demonstrated to local population. People were also informed to follow precautionary measures, as promulgated by civil administration, to avoid coming in contact with this disease.
