JAMMU : Referring to transparent DDC polls in Jammu & Kashmir and people’s large participation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi termed it a moment of pride for India.

The people of J&K have voted for strengthening democracy in Jammu and Kashmir. People of all walks of life came out and voted for development in DDC elections, the PM said.
He further said that J&K has won Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of ‘gram swaraj’.

The PM gave these statements during his address at the launch of Ayushaman Bharat PM-JAY SEHAT scheme for residents of J&K.
