J&K reported 4 COVID deaths, 98 fresh positive cases

Srinagar:  Jammu and Kashmir on Monday witnessed four Coronavirus COVID-19 deaths  and reported 98 new positive cases, an official spokesman said.

He said four people died due to COVID-19 Coronavirus infection in Kashmir valley alone today.

Out of the 98 fresh infected cases, 84 were reported from Kashmir valley and 14 from Jammu division, taking the total number of COVID-19 infected cases to 332347.

Moreover, 97 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals of the Union Territory including 80 from Jammu Division and 17 from Kashmir valley, the spokesman said.

He said there was  no report of any new case of Mucormycosis from any part of the UT today.

He said,  81,657 doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across Jammu and Kashmir to 1,47,15,244.

The spokesman said, out of 332347 positive cases, 899 are Active Positive –98 in Jammu Division and 801 in Kashmir valley– while 327012 have recovered and  4436  died — 2176 in Jammu division and 2260 in Kashmir.
