Jammu: With 5818 new cases, the Jammu and Kashmir recorded highest number of COVID cases since the outbreak of pandemic. Moreover, 4 new fresh fatalities, the death toll reached to 4579 in the Union Territory.

“Last time highest cases 5443 were recorded on 5th May 2021. This is highest cases in J&K,” an official told The Dispatch.
Among fresh cases, 1752 were reported from Jammu Division while 4066 from Kashmir region. Moreover, 4 new fatalities were reported from Jammu region only.
“In last 24 hours, 83019 test were conducted across UT, Out which 5818 found positive for the infection,” an official told The Dispatch.
