JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday hiked the Dearness Allowance by 4% of the basic pay, for government employees as well as government and family pensioners. The move comes weeks after the Union government effected a similar hike for central government employees.
In continuation to Government Order No 113-F of 2022 dated 20.04.2022, it is hereby ordered that “The Government employees working in regular pay levels under 7th Pay Commission recommendations, shall be paid revised Dearness Allowance as 38% of Basic Pay, enhanced from 34% of Basic Pay, with effect from the month of July,” an official order issued in this regard said.
“The arrears on account of additional installment of Dearness Allowance with effect from July, 2022 shall be paid in cash in two equal installments- one in the month of November, 2022 and other in the month of December, 2022, and shall form the part of salary from November, 2022 onwards,” it said.
The government has also effected a similar hike in the Dearness Allowance for Government Pensioners and Family Pensioners.
“The arrears on account of additional installment of Dearness Allowance with effect from July, 2022 shall be paid in cash to Government Pensioners/Family pensioners in two equal installments- one in the month of November, 2022 and other in the month of December, 2022, and shall form the part of pension /family pension from November, 2022 onwards,” it said.
