J&K govt directs 172 Heads of Departments to switch over to e-Office within a week

As per order, the Heads of Departments of the offices shall create an official email address on email(@nic.in/jk.gov.in), if not created already, apply for NIC-VPN, the procedure for which applicant shall login at eforms.nic.in with official email address, in the VPN Registration Link, applicant shall fill the required personal details like name, designation, department, mobile number, e-mail address etc, besides selecting NIC coordinator.

Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Thursday directed 172 Heads of Departments to switch over to e-Office within a time of one-week.

However, two Nodal officers each have also been deputed by the administration for Jammu and Kashmir regions.

As per order the government has directed all the Heads of Departments (172) to switch over to e-office with existing or available infrastructure positively within a week time.

As per order, the Heads of Departments of the offices shall create an official email address on email(@nic.in/jk.gov.in), if not created already, apply for NIC-VPN, the procedure for which applicant shall login at eforms.nic.in with official email address, in the VPN Registration Link, applicant shall fill the required personal details like name, designation, department, mobile number, e-mail address etc, besides selecting NIC coordinator.

Applicant shall fill-in the details of the Reporting Officer (Officer/Official of respective Department having official email address), who shall further forward submit the respective VPN request for approval/creation, contact the Nodal Officers designated for the purpose for the respective offices as given at Annexure-I of this Government Order for immediate facilitation/assistance in case of any difficulty.

The HODs shall contact the Nodal Officers for issuance of NIC-VPN for UT of J&K:-

For IT Department, Raman Gupta, Technical Officer, ITD (94191-88330) and for NIC, Sudhir Sharma, Scientist-E, NIC; (94192-20335).

It has also been directed to nominate two or three local admins, having knowledge of computers/online working, as per format and share the details, by or before September 3, 2021. The Local Admins shall, in turn, create or register the users for the rest of the office and shall be responsible for ensuring 100 percent implementation/switch over to e-Office.
