J&K BJP remembers Manohar Parrikar, pay rich tributes

Jammu: Bharatiya Janata Party, Jammu and Kashmir on Monday paid tributes to Chief Minister of Goa, Manohar Parrikar, at party headquarters here.

BJP State President Ravinder Raina, Union MoS in PMO Dr Jitendra Singh, MP (Lok Sabha) Jugal Kishore Sharma, former Dy CM Kavinder Gupta, State General Secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul, MLC Ashok Khajuria and former Minister Sat Sharma (CA) along with all the other senior leaders from state BJP paid rich tributes to the departed soul.

Raina, while remembering the noble soul, said that ‘Bharat Mata has lost a truly devoted gentleman’.

He further said that Parrikar was a true son of soil who served the nation till his last breath even though he was suffering from chronic debilitating illness.

“Mr Parrikar was seen in action up till his last days, so much was his level of dedication towards his duties. Living on the principle of ‘Simple living and high thinking’, very few men can even think to achieve that mental level”, Raina said and added that he will continue to live in our hearts, our memories for eternity.

Dr Jitendra Singh, while paying tributes, remembered his contributions in the smooth and successful running of affairs in the government headed by PM Modi.

Citing certain examples, he said that the loss of Parrikar has given birth to a void, which cannot be fulfilled.
