Jammu: In the backdrop of recent spike in COVID-19 cases, the Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday directed all its employees who are 45 or above to get a shot of the  vaccine to ensure that the spread of the infection is contained.

 “In view of the recent spike in COVID-19 infection cases across the Country and the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, all employees of Civil Secretariat and Secretariat of the age of 45 years and above are advised to get themselves vaccinated at the Special Vaccination Centre setup in Civil Secretariat, Dispensary, Jammu, w.e.f 06.04.2021.,” reads the order in possession of The Dispatch.

The order in possession of The Dispatch also reads  “They are further advised to continue to follow covid-appropriate behaviour, even after vaccination, by maintaining hand hygiene, wearing face mask and observing social distancing etc. Move Offices outside Civil Accordingly, it is impressed up on all the Administrative Secretaries to ensure vaccination of all eligible employees working in their respective Departments,”
