JAMMU: The Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research (JIAR) participated in the 4-day-long 9th World Ayurveda Congress and Arogya Expo in Goa, wherein it organised an exhibition of Ayurveda products, besides a well-attended awareness program among other activities.
Dr Sharada, Principal, JIAR led a 88-member team of students of JIAR, along with teachers Dr Rachin Shivgotra, Dr Gurusimran, Dr Namartha Raina and Dr Akshat Magluria to the event.
Dr Sharada was Co-chair in a Public Outreach Programme in Arogya Expo along with Coordinator Dr Shrey B Shah, whereas Dr Akshat presented Scientific Paper at the event.
The students of JIAR performed Nukkad Natak to create awareness and information about health through Ayurveda and Yoga for more than 1000 schools students of Goa and were well appreciated by all.
The JIAR Pharmacy GMP Certified Ayurveda Pharmacy exhibited their products in Arogya Expo.
A grand representation of Jammu & Kashmir was made by JIAR under the leadership of Suman Sharma, Chairperson, Shri Sain Charitable Trust for Higher Education and Research, Jammu.
The 9th World Ayurveda Congress and Arogya Expo was organised by Vijnana Bharati, World Ayurveda Foundation in association with Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India and Government of Goa.
More than 5000 delegates from over 30 countries were in the attendance, even as the event saw around 3 lakh visitors over the 4 days.
Prime Minister, Narendra Modi addressed the valedictory function.
