Even as the Congress-JMM alliance leads against the Bharatiya Janata Party in Jharkhand, incumbent Chief Minister Raghubar Das claimed that the BJP will return to power in the state.
In his first reaction after the counting of votes began on Monday morning, Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das refused to concede defeat and said trends indicating Opposition alliance leading were not final and maintained that the BJP will form the government again in Jharkhand.
“These trends are not the final word. There are more rounds of counting to be held. It will not be correct to comment on these trends. I will hold a press conference later in Ranchi,” Raghubar Das told media persons.
The incumbent CM, however, added that the BJP will emerge victorious in Jharkhand. “We are not only winning but also forming the [Jharkhand] government under the leadership of BJP in the state,” Raghubar Das said.
