SRINAGAR: This is the first time that there has been such a long gap between polls here, former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said Friday.

Quoting National Conference Omar Abdullah, ANI in a tweet said, “It’s been 8 yrs since there have been polls in J&K. The last Assembly polls were in 2014. This is the first time that there has been such a long gap between polls here. It wasn’t such a situation even during the worst days of militancy in J&K”.

Meanwhile Omar Abdullah joined Bharat Jodo Yatra in Banihal along with other party members, which resumed today morning.
