Indian Army is always sensitive and forthcoming to assuage the problem faced by the locals and is ever willing to lead and support them on the path of progress and prosperity. In yet another significant effort, it dedicated a 1 KVA Micro Solar Grid at Gaggar Hill on 05 March 21 in a joint effort with Aseem Foundation. This power plant is equipped with power limiter, bifacial half cut modules.
Understanding the issues and challenges faced by the locals in these for flung areas, Army facilitated the identification of most needy village and coordinated with Pune based ASEEM foundation, who provided the system and deployed it on ground with its technical team. The pilot project is a huge leap towards greater reliance on renewable energy and will mitigate the deprivations in regular power supply due to frequent cuts and vagaries of weather and also reduce the carbon footprint to some extent. The project was dedicated to the village by Commander Pir Panjal Brigade and officials of Aseem Foundation in a solemn ceremony, in the presence of the officials of department of Rural development, BDO Boniyar, members of BDC and local populace. The Awaam expressed their gratitude to the Army for this benefaction which will brighten up their tomorrow.
