Indian Railways have decided to provide Wi-Fi facility at all stations except halt stations: Ashwini Vaishnaw

Minister of Railways, Communications and Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw said the Indian Railways have decided to provide Wi-Fi facility at all stations except halt stations. In a written reply in Lok Sabha today, he said that RailTel- a Public Sector Undertaking of Ministry of Railways is providing Wi-Fi services at Railway Stations. He said that Wi-Fi facilities have been provided at 6 thousand 45 stations so far. The Minister said the provision of Wi-Fi at remaining stations is in progress, out of which 55 stations are targeted for completion during the current financial year.
