JAMMU: In continuation with the theme based Sampark events, Indian Army organised Artificial Limb Camp for specially abled persons at Mahore with assistance from Kiwanis Club, a NGO based in New Delhi. In addition, distribution of Computers and School bags was also carried out for the school children. 25 specially abled individuals including women and children from Mahore as well as from the area of Gulabgarh and Gool were identified, who were leading a restricted life. Hence the camp was aimed to enable and empower specially abled individuals to lead a normal and independent life. During the camp, specially abled persons were provided with Artificial Limbs, Wheel chairs and Crutches. Moreover, total of six computers and 100 school bags were also distributed to the children of Government Higher Secondary School, Government Middle School and Pir Panjal School in order to improve the quality of education. The event would go a long way in winning hearts and minds of Awam and strengthening the bond between the Indian Army and Awam.
