Indian army conducts Badminton Competition at Doda

JAMMU: With an aim to foster communal harmony, to inculcate sportsman spirit amongst the youth and to commemorate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav conducted a ‘Badminton Competition’ at Doda in alignment with ‘Khelo India’. More than 30 people gathered to witness the match. The event was part of the Indian Army continued efforts to promote positive youth development through sports and provide a platform to showcase the hidden talent of the region. The aim of the competition was to build competitive spirit amongst the youth as well as to provide an impetus to rural sports activities in the region. All participants displayed excellent sportsmanship during the conduct of the competition. Indian Army graced the event as chief guest. He congratulated the participants for their stellar performance and distributed prizes. Awam expressed their gratitude towards the Indian Army for its endeavour to motivate the youth of the region in a positive direction.
