Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Science and Technology and Earth Sciences Dr. Harsh Vardhan has said that India is witnessing a huge reform process under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with special focus for North Eastern states. He said, the programmes implemented over the years in the northeast itself justify the commitment of the Prime Minister. He was speaking during a brief interaction with officials of Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research, CIHSR. He reached Dimapur on a three-day visit to Nagaland yesterday.
Affirming that Modi Government has a huge focus on the health sector, the Minister said that Ayushman Health Scheme has become one of the most ambitious programme. Later, Dr Harsh Vardhan visited the Administrative Block, Radio Therapy Centre and the laboratory at CIHSR. He also visited Health & Wellness Centre at Naga United Village in Dimapur.
The Health Minister will lay the foundation stone of the second medical college of the state today at District Hospital, Mon in presence of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.
