India has expressed sorrow over loss of lives and damage to property in devastating storm in Nepal. The Ministry of External Affairs in a statement said that India is deeply saddened to learn the loss of life and damage to property in devastating thunderstorm that struck Bara and Parsa districts of Nepal.
The MEA said, the thoughts and prayers of Government and people of India are with all those who have lost their dear ones, sustained injuries or suffered damage to their property.New Delhi said it is ready to provide relief assistance as may be required by Nepal and Indian Embassy in Kathmandu and Consulate in Birgunj are in touch with the concerned authorities.
27 persons had lost their lives and over 600 were injured in devastating thunderstorm in Bara and Parsa districts on Sunday. Hundreds of houses and other property had also damaged due to storm.
