India administers over 71 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccine so far

In a landmark achievement, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 71 crore landmark on Wednesday. The cumulative figure stands at 71 crore 52 lakh 54 thousand 153. Union Health Ministry said, more than 54 crore 58 lakh vaccine doses have been administered as first dose and over 16 crore 94 lakh vaccine doses given as second doses. It said, more than 73 lakh Vaccine Doses have been administered till 7 pm today. The Ministry said that the vaccination exercise as a tool to protect the most vulnerable population groups in the country from COVID-19 continues to be regularly reviewed and monitored at the highest level.
