India achieves major milestone by administering 26 crore doses of Corona vaccine

India has achieved a significant milestone in its ongoing Covid-19 vaccination drive. The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country has crossed the 26 crore mark. Health and Family Welfare Ministry said that over 26 crore 17 lakh doses have been administered to beneficiaries so far. Over 13 lakh 13 thousand vaccine doses were administered as first dose and more than 54 thousand vaccine doses given as second dose to the age group 18 to 44 years yesterday.

Since the start of Phase-3 of the vaccination drive, more than four crore 49 lakh people across 37 States and UTs have received their first dose. Over 8 lakh 95 thousand received their second dose. On 151st Day of the vaccination drive yesterday, more than 25 lakh 68 thousand vaccine doses were given. Over 21 lakh 98 thousand beneficiaries were vaccinated with the first dose and over three lakh 70 thousand beneficiaries received the second dose.
