The Jammu region has since long been trying to tell the story of its identity which is independent of the political influence of Kashmir Valley. Leadership and communities in the Jammu, particularly in the Tawi catchment area, had hoped for the region’s greater stature new political environment after the constitutional changes of August 5, 2019. However, in a little over two years there are more grievances than ever before.  In this episode of The Dispatch, Zafar Choudhary argues that in constructing a new political narrative the local leadership must look beyond slogans to acknowledge the regional diversity.
