President Ram Nath Kovind on Thursday conferred gallantry awards on the armed force personnel for displaying conspicuous bravery, indomitable courage and utmost devotion to duty, at a defence investiture ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhawan, in New Delhi.

  1. President Kovind presents Shaurya Chakra to Dhanawade Ravindra Baban (Posthumous), Head Constable, 182 Battalion, CRPF. He displayed conspicuous gallantry, exemplary courage, utmost dedication to duty and made the supreme sacrifice battling terrorists in Pulwama, Jammu & Kashmir.

2. President Kovind presents Kirti Chakra to Rajendra Kumar Nain (Posthumous), Constable, 130 Battalion, CRPF. He displayed exceptional bravery, raw courage, utmost dedication and commitment to duty in fighting terrorists in J&K and made the supreme sacrifice for the nation.

3. President Kovind presents Param Vishisht Seva Medal (PVSM) to General Bipin Rawat, Chief of the Army Staff, at the Defence Investiture Ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

 
4. President Kovind presents Shaurya Chakra to Captain Abhinav Kumar Choudhary, Corps of Signals, 21st Batallion, Rashtriya Rifles. He displayed exceptional courage, grit and valour in elimination of five terrorists.
5. President Kovind presents Shaurya Chakra to Major Amit Kumar Dimri, Garhwal Rifles, 14th Batallion, Rashtriya Rifles. He displayed exemplary leadership and raw courage under heavy energy fire in elimination of three terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir.
6. President Kovind presents Shaurya Chakra to Lance Naik Ayyub Ali, Rajputana Rifles, 9th Batallion, Rashtriya Rifles. He displayed unflinching bravery and indomitable spirit in killing of a terrorist and safe evacuation of our two wounded personnel in J&K.
7. President Kovind presents Shaurya Chakra to Sapper Mahesh HN, Corps of Engineers, 44th Batallion, Rashtriya Rifles. He displayed indomitable spirit and exemplary leadership in eliminating a terrorist, injuring another and assisting in neutralisation of other terrorists in J&K.
8. President Kovind presents Kirti Chakra to Sepoy Vrahma Pal Singh (Posthumous), Rajput Regiment, 44th Batallion, Rashtriya Rifles. He displayed indomitable spirit and exceptional bravery, saving the life of his buddy and leading to neutralisation of one terrorist in J&K.
9. President Kovind presents Shaurya Chakra to Major Pawan Gautam, 44th Battalion, Rashtriya Rifles. He displayed exemplary leadership, raw courage and gallantry beyond call of duty resulting in elimination of a total of seven terrorists.
10. President Kovind presents Shaurya Chakra to Naib Subedar Vijay Kumar Yadav, 15th Batallion, Maratha Light Infantry Regiment. He displayed commendable bravery and exemplary leadership in eliminating two terrorists and foiling a planned terrorist attack.
11. President Kovind presents Shaurya Chakra to Captain (TS) P Rajkumar. He displayed courage, fortitude, valour and undeterred commitment to save human lives during Cyclone Ochki in southern coast of India.
12. President Kovind presents Shaurya Chakra to Major Aditya Kumar, 10th Batallion, Garhwal Rifles. He displayed meticulous planning and gallant action during an operation that eliminated four terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir.
13. President Kovind presents Shaurya Chakra to Gunner Ranjit Singh, Regiment of Artillery, 13th Batallion, Rashtriya Rifles. He displayed act of gallantry beyond the call of duty, and despite being grievously injured, killed one terrorist and wounded two others in Jammu and Kashmir.
14. PresidentKovind presents Shaurya Chakra to Captain Kaninder Paul Singh, Rajput Regiment, 44th Batallion, Rashtriya Rifles. He displayed exemplary leadership, raw courage and gallantry beyond call of duty in elimination of three terrorists in two separate operations in J&K.
15. President Kovind presents Shaurya Chakra to Captain Varma Jayesh Rajesh, Rajput Regiment, 44th Batallion, Rashtriya Rifles. He displayed indomitable courage, bold leadership and quick planning under extreme danger, resulting in the elimination of two terrorists in J&K
16. President Kovind presents Shaurya Chakra to Head Constable A S Krishna, Constable K Dinesh Raja, and Constable Prafulla Kumar, 45 Batallion, CRPF. They showed exceptional valour, gallantry and raw courage in the face of imminent threat to their lives, eliminating terrorists in J&K.
17. President Kovind presents Kirti Chakra to Major Tushar Gauba, 20th Batallion, Jat Regiment. He displayed unparalleled bravery, conspicuous gallantry under heavy terrorist fire and swift action to save his party, and eliminated three hardcore terrorists across LoC in Kupwara, J&K.
