In last 3 months, over 4 lakh tourists visit Dodhpathri

SRINAGAR: In the last three months, over 4 lakh tourists visited Dodhpathri in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

As per the data available the year 2021 saw 134994 visitors at Dodhpatrhri. Figures reveal that this year from April 1 to July 24, 442620 visitors, including tourists and locals visited the tourist sport.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Doodpathri Development Authority Nargis Suraya said that the increase in footfall of visitors was possible by the hard work of the administration. She said they have organized different events in the last few months to attract tourists to the meadow. “The administration has sought permission from the forest department regarding the installation of the mobile tower for the Doodhpathri. I am sure that that will be installed soon,” she said.

An official from Dodhpathri Development Authority (DDA) has earlier said that Cable Corporation has recently approved ski lift for Doodhpathri which will give a fillip to tourist arrivals during winters—(KNO)
