Around 37 percent receive second Jab, reveal official figures
SRINAGAR: Around 80 percent people between 18 to 44 age group have been given first dose of vaccine while as around 37 percent have received second jab, official figures revealed Tuesday.
As per the data available in Srinagar of 938,065 persons in this category, 741,133 (79 percent) have given the first dose while as 296,742 (32 percent) have been given the second dose.
In Ganderbal district, of 225,596 persons, between the age group of 18-44 years, 178,376 (79 percent) and 80,004 (36 percent) have received the first and second dose of vaccines so far.
In Budgam, of 571,673 persons 443,563 (78 percent) have been given the first dose while 234,084 (41 percent) have been given the second dose in the 18-44 age group.
In aggregate, 78.66 percent have been given the first dose of vaccine while 36.33 percent have been given the second dose of vaccine in the 18-44 age group in three districts of Central Kashmir.
Officials said that within one month, all the people above 18-years of age in J&K will get covered as pending people will get vaccinated as well. Vaccination drive in J&K was started on January 16 this year—(KNO)
