IGP Kashmir calls for generating specific input to enhance anti-militancy operations

KULGAM: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar Saturday called for generating specific input to enhance anti-militancy operations in the valley.

Reports said that IGP Kashmir made these remarks while reviewing the security scenario in the Kulgam district. An official told that IGP along with Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) and DIG CRPF Anantnag visited Kulgam and held a meeting with Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, SSP Kulgam, CRPF’s all COs and other police officers there.

He said that a detailed security review of PRIs and PPs were exercised and new measures to monitor their visits were also discussed. Besides, the focus was given to generate specific input to enhance militancy operations and to reduce new recruitment into militant rank—(KNO)
