I&B Minister Prakash Javadekar clarifies, only cricket stadium is named after PM, Sports Complex is still Sardar Patel Sports Enclave

Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar has clarified that only the cricket stadium, within the Sardar Patel Sports Enclave in Ahmedabad, has been named after Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the name of the Sports Complex is still Sardar Patel Sports Enclave.

Reacting to Congress criticism over it, Mr. Javadker hit back at the main opposition party. In an apparent reference to the Nehru- Gandhi family, Mr. Javadekar said, ironically, the family, which never respected Sardar Patel, even after his death, is now making hue and cry.

Earlier, Congress leaders including Rahul Gandhi attacked the government over the renaming of the Motera cricket stadium.
