SRINAGAR: The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir P K Pole Tuesday ordered the officials of health department to ensure all vital health facilities during the rehearsal of parade for Independence Day at Sher-I-Kashmir Cricket Stadium here in Sonwar area of Srinagar
Pole in a review meeting held on Tuesday has said, “Health department shall ensure that all the requisite health facilities including the COVID-19 facilities are put in place during the rehearsal and at the main venue of function.” Pole told the Director SKIMS, Principal GMC Srinagar and Director Health Services Kashmir to ensure commencement of their Trauma and Disaster Managements wards.
According to the minutes of the meeting released by the office of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, “Specialist doctors must be kept at standby at SKIMS and GMC related Hospitals, besides, availability of blood of specified group,” he said.
The minutes further reveal that the Director of Health Services Kashmir (DHSK) was asked to make available services of specialist doctors and first aid facilities during the rehearsal at Zewan area. In the meantime, the divisional commissioner informed that the main venue of the Independence Day function 2021 shall be at Sher-I-Kashmir Stadium Sonwar and impressed upon all the departments that all the necessary arrangements shall be put in place well before the event and without any fail.
In the meeting, the representatives of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) requested the divisional commissioner that in view of Ranji Trophy season, the departments including SMC, RnB and other departments may be asked that the ground or the venue shall not get damaged. The divisional commissioner directed JKCA that its employees shall remain present during the days the days of preparations or arrangements—(KNO)
