Huge quantum of medicine found dumped in Tangmarg forests

Huge quantity of different medicines including antibiotics presumably from Government Hospitals were found dumped in the forest of Googaldara area of Tangmarg.

The drugs reportedly include those medicines too which have the shelf life up-to 2019 Nov. July 2018 besides a huge quantum of expired drugs.

Sources told that these drugs were meant for free supply to patients in the hospitals however, many hospital management do not supply the medicine as per the requirement to patients thus leaving them to expire killing the basic purpose of providing better and free healthcare to patients.

Sources added that huge quantity of medicines get expired in hospitals every year due to negligence of staff as they do not supply it to patients and prefer it’s expiry rather than to make its judicious use.
