States have been advised to report Covid deaths according to guidelines. These directions came in the wake of some media reports wherein misreporting of deaths due to Covid-19 was alleged.

The Ministry has said, 3,971 deaths reported by Bihar on that date due to reconciliation done by the State. The Union Government has written to the Bihar Government to provide a detailed date and district wise break-up of the reconciled number of deaths to the Ministry.
