Gujarat: Over 18.38 lakh given 1st COVID vaccine dose, 4.61 lakh 2nd

In Gujarat, more than 1 lakh 49 thousand persons were vaccinated against Covid19 yesterday. More than 18 lakh 38 thousand persons have been given the first dose, while more than 4 lakh 61 thousand persons have been given the second dose. According to sources, not a single instance of any side effect has been reported so far.
 
The new cases of Covid19 infection are increasing in the state.  The sudden spike in the fresh cases of Covid19 in the state, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani reviewed the situation in a core committee meeting yesterday. He also held video conference with the Municipal Commissioners of Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot and asked for immediate action for the patients of Covid19.
 
715 new cases of Covid19 reported during the last 24 hours, while 495 patients have been discharged from the hospitals after  recovery. Total 2 lakh 68 thousand 196 patients have recovered from Covid19 till now. At present, Gujarat has 4006 active cases of Covid19, out of which 51 patients are on ventilator. Maximum 196 new cases were reported from Surat yesterday.
