JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir government has sanctioned the release of Rs 3.14 Cr for the construction and renovation of Panchayat Ghars in five districts of Jammu.
The renovation and construction work will take place in Ramban, Kathua, Rajouri, Doda and Udhamour.
Consequent upon t e implementation of the new procedure for utilization of funds under Centrally Sponsored schemes as envisaged under the Guidelines dated 23.03.2021 issued by the Department Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, Gol, and opening of Zero Balance Subsidiary Accounts at the Divisional/District level, specifically for purposes of implementing the Centrally sponsored Scheme of RGSA, by the Directorate after returning the entire amount available in the bank accounts of the Implementing Agencies to the Single Nodal Account, reads the order issued by Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Jammu and Kashmir.
“And in furtherance of the orders under reference, a sanction is hereby accorded to the release of funds to the tune of Rs. 314.76 lacs (Rupees Three Crore Fourteen Lakh Seventy-Six Thousand only) in favour of the Director Rural Development Jammu, under the Panchayat Bhawa Support component of RGSA, for its further release in favour of the Implementing Agencies, as per the following District-wise breakup”, it reads.
As per the order, Rs 101.19 lac has been sanctioned for the construction and renovation of Panchayat Ghar in Ramban; Rs 44.19 lac for Kathua, Rs 65.98 lacs for Rajouri; Rs 47.09 lacs for Doda and Rs 56.31 lacs for Udhampur
It is hereby ordered that the drawing limits shall be fixed accordingly and funds released shall be utilized for the following purposes. To clear the liability accrued on account of the construction and repair/renovation of Panchayat Ghars, keeping in view the permissible limits of Rs.20 Lacs for the construction of Panchayat Ghars and Rs.4 Lacs for repair/renovation as also the tendered cost, the order reads.
