Govt invites comments of stakeholders on proposed amendments to Income-tax Rules


The government of India has invited comments of stakeholders and the general public on the proposed amendments to Income-tax Rules by 4th of next month.

In a press release, the finance ministry said, the amendments seek to rationalise the process of issuance of a certificate for no deduction of tax or collection of tax at lower rate.

The process will be electronic. It said this is vital for minimising the human interface and reducing the compliance burden on the applicant. All stakeholders can submit their response on the website of the Income Tax Department that is
